Sheebani Patel, JD

Sheebani Patel is the Director of Community Integration for Population Health at Harris Health System. She has over 15 years of experience in health care delivery, population health, and health policy. In her current role, she oversees a portfolio of initiatives focused on understanding and addressing patients’ non-medical drivers of health, such as the implementation of updated demographic and social needs screening and medical-legal partnership, as well as supporting system strategy around care transformation.

Prior to joining Harris Health System, Sheebani worked at Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic, leading the region’s partnership and strategy with the public exchanges across Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. Sheebani’s other experience includes working as a health care consultant for The Advisory Board Company, launching the budget policy vertical at Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF) in New York City, and organizing restaurant workers for policy change at Restaurant Opportunities Center of New York (ROC-NY).

Sheebani obtained her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and her BBA from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a proud second-generation immigrant and native Houstonian. Sheebani lives in Houston with her husband, two young sons, and a very large sheepadoodle.
